ONI Jewelry: A mix and match gift guide

It was love at first sight…

From the moment I stumbled upon ONI Jewelry’s table at an event in the city, I have been haunted by the Daybreak charm. It is a special thing when jewelry makes you feel something.

I learned that the designer, Devanshi, had exactly this in mind when she paired the mother-of-pearl inlay with the reflective gold-plated silver rays of the charm. In Indian culture, she told me, putting on jewelry in the morning is an important ritual.

From her high standards of manufacturing (she comes from a family who has been crafting high-quality jewelry for respected designers for decades), to her nature-based designs and precious stones, you can sense that this is more than just a business to her.

My first thought was: “I must get this necklace” my second was “My mom would love this, too.”

What makes ONI Jewelry the perfect gift (besides being stunning), is that their entire collection is mix-and-matchable. Fashion legos, if you will.

So if I gift my mom a glamorous glasses chain this Mother’s Day, not only is it designed for her to also wear it as a necklace or purse strap, but for her birthday, I can gift her a turtle charm to hang on it for a touch of personality (she lives at the beach). Then for Christmas, I can add a bracelet to her collection, that can pair with the charm. After that, a heart lock she can use for a focal point if she double wraps the sunglass chain as a necklace.

Each special occasion, I can gift her more possibilities.

I love the sense of creativity that playing with different ONI looks in the morning is bringing me. It makes me happy to think of my mom getting to experience that, too.

We’ve put together a gift guide to help you choose which pieces to mix and max to build their dream ONI set (and yours, too). 😘

AND I HAVE A CODE FOR YOU 👏 CODE

*I’m lucky enough to have landed a partnership with ONI, and they sponsored this blog post. They did not, however, demand I wear their jewelry daily. That part I can’t help. I’m addicted.

Step 1: Find your Base

First you’ll want to pick your base piece. ONI has necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets, and sunglass chains. they come in varying lengths and thicknesses. Next, choose your metal: they have White Gold, Yellow Gold, and Rose Gold options.

If you’re on a budget, the baby clip bracelet is one of their most affordable and popular options.

I am smitten with their cuban link necklaces and bracelets, for bit of an edgy look.

Step 2: Add a Charm

These charms are gorgeous, timeless, and sophisticated. Nothing like the ones you wore in middle school. They are the kind I would feel confident wearing at a fashion girly event in NYC.

You can take your charm from earring, to necklace, and even to an anklet. Another great feature is you can twist them (no more stressing if you put it on “backwards" - you can flip the direction after).

Because they are made with precious stones, the bejeweled ones have a higher the price point.

One of their most popular budget-friendly charms are the letter charms.

An early Mother’s Day gift to me…

I’m loving the drama of this cuban link choker and bracelet. I got to choose pieces to be gifted by ONI, and of course I went with my beloved Daybreak charm!

I’ve worn both the necklace and the bracelet with the charm and by themselves. I also love how I can combine the necklace and bracelet for a longer statement necklace.
